OUR PROJECTS
Our projects span across photography to film, and delve into specific cultural phenomena. The work from each project lives in diverse spaces, including online, gallery spaces, corporate venues, and film festivals, among others.
PROJECT I - SUBCULTURES
Our project, Subcultures was initiated as a visual essay that explored contemporary South African post-apartheid youth subcultures, specifically Amapantsula and Izikhothane. Over subsequent years the body of work organically evolved into a series of short films, thereafter opportunities for exhibition.

PROJECT II - TRIBES
Tribes is the second chapter in an ongoing inquiry into identity and cultural expression. Where Subcultures examined contemporary post-apartheid youth identities through Amapantsula and Izikhothane, Tribes turns towards ancestry. The project traces threads of history, migration, and memory, uncovering the symbols, colours, objects, and totems that continue to shape cultural identity today.
